A Note From Effie

A Note From Effie: With the COVID-19 pandemic and Stay At Home orders, I have been out of the office since March 10th, now homeschooling my children. Consequently, my work with patients in the Pre & Postnatal population has been through Telemedicine visits with great results.

PT is quite beneficial for this population experiencing pain, as options are limited during pregnancy. However, as a mom, attending PT appointments can be challenging while juggling work, family and home, especially during the pandemic and the extra precautions necessary to keep us all safe. Ultimately, pain will become unmanageable and that is where I come in, providing much needed pain relief through education and various techniques.

At Family PT, we are continuing to treat patients. Many of our patients have taken advantage of Telehealth, while others have needed care onsite. We are taking extra precautions, with wearing masks (both provider and patient), cleaning all surfaces thoroughly, and limiting number of patients in the clinic at one time.

For the moment, I am offering telehealth to my pre/post-natal patients. With all of the changes, I am unsure when my Tuesday/Thursday schedule will resume in the clinic. In the meantime, Cathy Leer, our owner, will be able to provide onsite treatments for our pre/post-natal patients.

If you are pregnant and in pain, there is no need to suffer. We can help. Give us a call 644.8334.
