In all of the craziness of this COVID-19 pandemic, we have been given the time to work on projects we wouldn’t normally have had the opportunity or luxury to work on. I have decided to combine my passion for health and exercise with my chosen career in physical therapy in a “new way”.
This includes different types of exercise like Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates. All of these practices have been around for many years (over 700 yrs for Tai Chi and 5,000 yrs for yoga) and are proven ways for improved health and overall well being.
Over the next few weeks I will be taking courses and doing research on the best ways to combine these methods with physical therapy. I am excited about learning new ways of incorporating them into the treatment of my patients, as well as developing classes for people who are looking for ways to prevent falls and injuries and to avoid overall deconditioning.
Stay tuned for more information on the exciting new classes that FPTS will have to offer!
