There are a few things to consider when using salves, lotions, or roll-ons.
- How much CBD is in the container i.e. potency
- What is your cost per mg of CBD
- Are there other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids in the product (entourage effect)
- Are there other products like menthol or camphor that are the primary “active” ingredient
From my experience, and in my personal opinion, I would rather NOT have menthol or camphor which is a topical anesthetic in the product, UNLESS the potency (amount of CBD) is enough to be clinically effective. Otherwise just go out and buy BenGay or IcyHot and save your money. Afterall, how would you know if it’s the CBD or the menthol or camphor addressing your symptoms?
