Here is a former Lurgio athlete during our Athletic Performance Program getting ready for Spring soccer. Core stability is crucial for ALL sports and here is a great demonstration of an anti-rotational press (also referred to as a ‘Pallof Press’) which improves core stabilization. You can use a strong band or pulley system about chest height and while engaging the core press band forward and hold for few seconds then return to chest, repeat about 10 times both sides. This exercise is one of our favorites as most scenarios in sport require a strong core while standing.
