I’ve heard of Turmeric, But What the Heck is Curcumin?

October 8, 2019

According to Wikipedia, “Curcumin is a bright yellow chemical produced by Curcuma longa plants. It is the principal curcuminoid of turmeric (Curcuma longa), a member of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae.” It is an active compound of turmeric that has been “used for centuries for its ability to reduce pain and inflammation”.

Joy Organics is one of our chosen suppliers of CBD products. A family owned company in Colorado, they source their hemp from certified organic US farms, provide CoA’s and have “a mission to provide a high-quality, effective and reliable family of CBD products with customer care to match”.

Joy Organics name sake, Joy Smith, lived with chronic pain and after experiencing relief with CBD products she made it her mission to help others in the same way. Chronic pain was the number one reason Joy added curcumin to their CBD softgels.

If you’d like to “experience the pain relief (Joy) experienced in (her) own (life)” you may want to try Joy Organics CBD Softgels with Curcumin. If you would like additional information, feel free to email me: cjleer@familyptservices.com.

*CBD is considered a supplement and not a medical treatment or cure.

      Hi Judith
Sorry for the delayed response! CBD has been shown to help millions of people, but there currently there are not enough studies on human use to make any medical claims. CBD as well as other natural and herbal products are considered a supplement which has been effective for chronic pain. I’d be happy to talk to you more about how it is being used and point you towards educational materials to learn more
