James Goodwin, PTA, CSCS, Director of Athletic Performance, will be combining his knowledge and experience in division 1 and professional athletics, exercise science, and rehab, along with his lifelong experience playing and coaching elite level soccer, to bring a program that is unparalleled in the world of injury prevention, conditioning, and performance education for young athletes.

His programs are NOT about BIGGER, FASTER, or STRONGER, but about working smarter not harder. If you have an athlete that spends several hours a week between training and games, you can be sure that they are breaking down their young bodies. Regardless of their chosen sport, to prevent catastrophic injury and failure, it is crucial that they dedicate at least one hour per week rejuvenating their muscles and soft tissues, and James is an expert on how to do this.

What Is Therapeutic Fitness & Health Solutions?

Therapeutic Fitness & Health Solutions is a program tailored to help you solve your specific fitness and health problems, or reach your fitness and health goals.

Who Is It For?
Family Physical Therapy Services wants to help people not only recover from their current injuries and ailments but learn how to live an overall healthy lifestyle. The three pillars of maintaining a healthy lifestyle are proper exercise, nutrition, and sleep. Unfortunately, many Americans are not in control of these three integral parts of their lives. Let our fitness and health solutions help!

How Does It Work?
The comprehensive introductory package consists of an initial 30-minute consultation to review baselines as well as individual wants, needs, and goals; a thorough 90-minute assessment of body mass, nutritional intake and sleep habits baselines; a detailed report with recommendations for each of the three pillars of health; and a 45-minute follow-up visit after two weeks to review an individual’s progress with initial recommendations. You get all of this for only $299.

Ongoing program offerings:
For ongoing supervision and guidance, programs are available for 1, 2 or 4 sessions per month and in 1-, 3- or 6-month increments. Special pricing is available for prepayment.

For a nominal fee, additional support offerings are available including e-mail, telephone, and social media.

Fitness Only Option
Some may only want help with their fitness program and we offer a fitness only option with an emphasis on injury prevention/medical management. Solutions are determined between you and your Physical Therapist/Physical Therapist Assistant—the people who know your body best!

Who Is It For?
Therapeutic Fitness Solutions is designed to help our patients maintain the gains they made during skilled PT or progress toward greater fitness from their therapeutic base.

There are two tiers to the program: an Independent Plan and a Supervised Plan.

Independent Plan

This plan is designed for clients who are happy with their workout at discharge from formal PT but want access to the facility so they can use the equipment/resources they are used to.

The cost is $30 per month (20% discount for Senior Citizens) and gives clients access to our workout room between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Mondays – Fridays. You can cancel the program, or put it on hold/resume at any time.

Supervised Plan

This plan allows you to take advantage of the expertise of our clinical staff who will work one-on-one with you to identify your fitness goals, ensure you are exercising in a safe and proper manner, perform reassessments of fitness metrics and modify/progress your program accordingly.

There is no set number or frequency of sessions you must take part in. It is also not required that you participate in our Independent Plan (though you may do so separately) to take advantage of our supervised sessions. You can also exercise at home, at our facility, or at a gym of your choosing and still take advantage of our services.

Sessions are by appointment only with the cost as follows per session:

  • Physical Therapist
    • 30 minutes: $90
    • 45 minutes: $120
  • Physical Therapist Assistant
    • 30 minutes: $60
    • 45 minutes: $80
